Northwoods is a single-design line, the Ribbed, and its whole point is the face. Horizontal planks are printed onto a ribbed steel section. The door carries the depth, texture and dimension of stained wood planks with none of the maintenance real wood asks for. The palette holds 5 finishes: Dune, Cedar, Coffee, Aspen Gray and Onyx. It suits contemporary homes, craftsman houses and modern farmhouses alike.
The line comes in 2 insulated builds, both triple-layer. The NW3138 uses polystyrene insulation for an R-value of 6.48 and a U-factor of 0.27. The NW3000 uses a thicker polystyrene layer for an R-value of 9.05 and a U-factor of 0.26. WindPro wind-load reinforcement is available to meet local high-wind codes, and Quiet Door is on the feature list.
Windows keep to the modern side of the catalog. SlimLine inserts, Short Panel and Long Panel glass and the Mosaic window in both formats are offered. A closed section is available for a door with no glass at all.
